What you actually get
The paragraph below is Amazon’s own sales copy. We keep it quoted and set apart rather than folded into our text, because marketing prose and a description are not the same thing, and because what it leaves out is as useful as what it claims.
Size down. Power up. The far mightier, way tinier Mac mini desktop computer is five by five inches of pure power. Built for Apple Intelligence.* Redesigned around Apple silicon to unleash the full speed and capabilities of the spectacular M4 Pro chip. With ports at your convenience, on the front and back. Looks small. Lives large. At just five by five inches, Mac mini is designed to fit perfectly next to a monitor and is easy to place just about anywhere. Convenient connections. Get connected with Thunderbolt, HDMI, and Gigabit Ethernet ports on the back and, for the first time, front-facing USB-C ports and a headphone jack.
The price, read properly
Amazon publishes a single figure for this configuration, $779.98, and no separate list price beside it. That removes the usual anchor, and it is the honest reason you will find no percentage anywhere on this page. The specification has to justify the money on its own.
The listing carries an end date of 27 August 2026. Retailers pull pages early and without warning, so read that as the outer edge rather than a promise.
Against what else is on the shelf
The closest tracked listings in tablets are Apple iPad Air 11-inch at $749.00 and Apple iPad Air 11-inch at $649.00. Both undercut it, so the case for paying more has to come from the table below rather than from the price.
These are the nearest listings by price that our tracker currently holds, not a survey of the market. Anything not listed on Amazon does not appear here at all.
Its strongest draw is the M4 Pro chip in a five-inch chassis, delivering workstation-class power without the desk space.
